Peter is a seasoned professional with over thirty-five years of coaching and mentoring experience, despite not being a formal part of his job description. Throughout his corporate, government, and education career, Peter has successfully integrated coaching and mentoring into his management and leadership style. His diverse background includes expertise in technical, sales, marketing, and C-suite roles, enabling him to excel in building and guiding high-performing cross-functional teams.

Peter pursued a Graduate Certificate in Applied Coaching from the Australian College of Applied Professions to enhance his practical skills. This comprehensive program covered various aspects of coaching, including the fundamentals of coaching theory and practice, coaching for professional well-being and resilience, coaching for sustainable leadership, and applied coaching skills. Peter is an active International Coach Federation (ICF) member and serves on the ICF NSW Branch Committee. Additionally, he holds a Master of Computing degree specialising in Software Engineering.

Peter's approach revolves around positive psychology, strengths-based coaching, and self-determination. He encourages his clients to undergo strengths-based assessments from renowned platforms such as Clifton Strengths, VIA, and DiSC. Peter firmly believes these assessments provide valuable insights for clients to leverage their strengths and drive personal and professional growth. He advocates for clients to undertake at least one of these assessments before or during their coaching journey to maximise their coaching experience.

  • Peter’s Diverse Background and Expertise

    Managing Director Roles:

    Peter has been Managing Director in five companies since 1989, representing different industries and sectors. These companies encompassed bespoke software development, advertising agency systems, computer hardware manufacturing, consulting services, and business agility consulting. While four of these businesses are no longer operational, the experiences gained from these ventures have provided invaluable lessons in both business and life. In addition, these experiences have uniquely equipped Peter to offer coaching and mentoring support focused on personal and professional resilience.

    Establishing Regional Offices for Major Software Companies:

    Peter’s career includes establishing regional offices for two major software companies in the network operating system domain. While only one of these businesses rexiststoday, it has undergone significant transformations.

    Unconventional Career Path:

    Peter's career journey has been far from conventional. He pursued numerous industry-based courses before enrolling in university during his early 50s. This non-traditional approach allowed him to gain practical skills and knowledge from real-world experiences, complementing his academic studies.

    Lecturing Experience:

    From 2002 until the end of 2015, Peter served as a lecturer in business and computing subjects. During this time, he primarily focused on assisting final-year student groups in developing practical skills essential for their transition into the workforce.
